Termino esta série de posts dedicados à Pascoa com uma proposta para a decoração de mesa. Sempre passei esta quadra em casa dos meus avós numa pequena aldeia perto de Santarém e, talvez por isso, associo a decoração da mesa de Páscoa à simplicidade do campo. Quando descobri esta proposta no blog 79ideas achei-a perfeita por isso mesmo, por retratar a mesa de Páscoa tal como eu a imagino: simples, leve e muito primaveril. Espero que gostem!
In this last post dedicated to Easter Inspirations I present you a proposal for the table decoration. I have always spent my Easter at my grandparent’s country house in a small village near Santarém. That is why when I think of Easter decoration I think about country simplicity. Para esta quadra, sugerimos os tons pastel e motivos florais: independentemente das tendências, estão sempre presentes na Primavera. Apostem nos pormenores: pequenos apontamentos como ovos pintados e flores podem fazer toda a diferença na decoração da mesa de Páscoa. Pessoalmente, adoro os tons pastel usados nesta produção. São maravilhosos para esta altura do ano em que já cheira a Primavera apesar do frio e da chuva.
For this season, we suggest pastel colors and floral patterns: they are always present on spring, independently from trends. Give special attention to details: small notes as painted eggs and flowers can make all the difference in your Easter table. I just love the pastel colors used in this production. Que tal começarmos por definir qual irá ser o tema do jantar?! Palavras soltas como “Praia”, “Música”, “Outono” ou até mesmo “Brilho” poderão ser o mote para desenvolver toda a decoração envolta num jantar. Não sinta medo de misturar padrões e texturas interessantes, os elementos naturais podem revelar-se surpreendentes seja um bouquet no centro da mesa, ou até mesmo flores soltas adaptadas como marcador de lugar. A adição de velas aos arranjos florais nunca é de mais, faça um bonito bouquet, ou vários em ponto pequeno e verá que ao acender as velas o ambiente da sua sala será outro.
Para captar um olhar observador, poderá sempre colocar um guardanapo colorido entre uma dupla de pratos neutros, ou até mesmo um único prato diferente dos restantes. A própria comida poderá ser uma arma decorativa, teremos apenas de ser criativos. Também as ementas, as argolas para os guardanapos e as pequenas lembranças em cima do prato de cada convidado, farão com toda a certeza todo o ambiente de uma noite de festa.

When we decide to give a dinner party, either it is formal or informal, simple or sofisticated, the decoration of the table is always a concern. And a great one, since the presentation makes the diference. Choosing the towel, the plates, glasses, napkins and the centerpiece, everything counts for your dinner’s success. The little details cannot be ignored since they have an important role when it comes to style and concept.
How about starting with the dinner theme? Loose words as “Beach”, “Music”, “Autumn” or even “Glitter” can be the trigger to all the decoration in that dinner. Don’t be afraid of mixing patterns and interesting textures. The natural elements can turn out to be surprising in a centerpiece bouquet or even loose flowers that you can use as a seat marker. The addition of candles to the floral arrangements is never too much. Make a pretty bouquet or many small ones, instead, and you will see that, by lighting the candles, the ambience of the room will change completely.
To be more eye-catching you can also place a colourful napkin between two neutral plates, or you can even choose one plate different from all the others. The food itself can be a “decorative weapon”, you just have to be creative. Also the menus, the napkin rings and the little souvenirs on each guest’s plate, will certainly leave a mark.
